1) The name of your character -
Try something normal or natural. What would you name your kids? (If you were in Dynawd that is.) Also, you probably don't have a last name, but if you're in the nobility or some kind of fancy schmancy position, you might, possibly have one. (Unlikely though)
2) Job/Class -
Essentially, your job can be anything. Make sure it fits your character well. No Kings or Lords, you are not the Pope. We like merchants. (Who else would give me those scrumptious little crunchy things!)
Think about it, if everyone is a thief who would they steal from?
Your class defines your magical powers. See the Class post for more information.
3) Race-
Yep, your race. Nuttin like a good ol' race. Hmm, Races... Great for dads!
4) Age-
Keep it plausible. Not everyone is a young adult, some are babies, some are ancient crones, and no one has a midlife crisis. No one ever reached midlife... Wait a minute, message from my superior... (Yes Kyar? What is it? Ahh, ok! Gothcha!) Sorry about that, you can, indeed, be middle aged.
5) Gender-
Male or Female. No, I don't accept its, he-she's maybe. But if you mess this up the entire population of my imaginary friend world and my forum have the un-alienable right and DUTY to laugh and point unceasingly AT YOU!
6) A Physical description of your character -
Eye color, hair color, height, weight, skin tone, hairstyle and length, ect. Clothing (not armor) should be described here as well. Think of other things as well, such as body frame or perhaps whether the character has a square jaw or a pointy nose. Do they have big hands and feet or are they smelly? Those kinds of things! Remember, be detailed.
7) Describe your character's personality -
What's this guy like? Is he a good guy to know? On the other hand, is she gloomy and depressed? Is he a religiosn zealot? We want to know it all. While your at it, list their likes and dislikes along with their personality and moods and such. Make it a good one! Not everyone is angsty.
8) Fears and Weaknesses -
Everyone's got something that creeps them out or that keeps them awake at night. I mean, I don't like bugs with lots of legs (centipedes and millipedes...). What about your character? Weakness wise, does your character have something they're particularly weak for, like a drug dependency or an old war wound that acts up? Maybe they don't like the cold or prefer the dark. Or light.... you know those pope guys hate the light! ^_^
9) Equipment -
The actual stuff you use for your day-to-day life, whether it be your dust mop or your sword, your hairnet or your steel boots. Keep it at medieval technology though, please. We try to limit to one magic item or less. It all depends on how much detail you give us in the bio and descriptions.
10) Character Biography -
Make sure it's well detailed. It should account for what the character has done up until now. While you don't have to list each and every event and thing in their life, make sure to get the big and important stuff like training with the knights, or when you left home to travel the world for 10 years with uncle Jumbo, or even that time Great Aunt Mildred left you that crazy looking axe.
11) Random Extras -
What? There's no place for it? Put it here! Like if they've got a best friend they're currently traveling with, or if they've got like 10 kids and marriage problems. Maybe a gambling debt or is the current Rock Paper Scissors champ of their town or whatnot.
12) Pets! -
I simply can't resist hearing about those delightful earthworms. What? You don't have a pet earthworm? Well what do you have then, hair lice?
13)Religion
shoulda been higher, I know, But I just now though of it, so tell me what religion you belong to. Agnostics are accepted as well. And nothign is keepign your mage from being religious, or your priest from being agnostic (though that would be interesting). Also, tell us how you(the character) decided on this religion. Were you raised in it? Did a god come thump you one the head? Also, what importance does this religion have in your life?
!4) Location(optional)
assuming your character is not the traveling type, where do they live? this is useful for people such as my own Stareye, who will only ever RP in one or two places, barring divine (AKA. administrative) intervention.
